Cardiac PCU – Clinical RN (Days or Nights)

Role Overview:

This Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing direct patient care in a high-acuity cardiology unit, managing acute and intermediate conditions, titrating high-risk drips, and caring for patients with heart failure, post-transplant, and requiring telemetry. The role emphasizes critical thinking, assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and medication administration.
  • Participating in safety, quality, and regulatory activities while pursuing professional development.
  • Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
  • Developing, implementing, and documenting care plans aligned with standards and ensuring communication across care continuum.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current RN license; BLS certification required; ACLS certification within one year.
  • Experience is preferred but not required; two years of experience is ideal.
  • Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills; ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
