Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input from patients and the healthcare team.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required; two years of nursing experience preferred.
- Preferred Skills: Med Surg experience and BSN degree.
