Role: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking to deliver individualized care.
- Partner with patients and families, utilizing effective communication methods like bedside reports and teaching, ensuring patient goals are central to care plans.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care while promoting respectful, inclusive team collaboration through interdisciplinary rounds and communication.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and uphold organizational policies, standards, and safety goals.
- Mentor and serve as a preceptor for other staff and students to foster a qualified, professional workforce.
- Engage in professional development, maintain competencies, and promote evidence-based practice and research integration.
- Assist in protocol development, resource management, and care planning across the continuum to improve outcomes and reduce adverse events.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Diploma Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current RN license (single or multi-state Compact) and BLS certification.
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience in direct patient care.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
