Role Overview: Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols. Maintains equipment, records, and participates in quality assurance activities. May supervise and teach within the laboratory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate patient and quality assurance testing, document investigations, and interpret lab data.
- Report lab results within turnaround times, analyze data in clinical context, and monitor test statuses.
- Contribute to performance improvements, assist in method development, and support inspection readiness.
- Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory standards; participate in meetings and educational activities.
- Adhere to safety and compliance standards, and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.
- Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in computer/data entry, communication skills, and basic knowledge of Excel, Word; experience with Epic and 3M is a plus.
