Physical Therapist PRN

Role: The physical therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, set goals, and develop discharge strategies. Implement and adjust therapy activities, provide patient and family education, and document evaluations and treatments according to guidelines. Acts as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, maintain confidentiality, and promote ethical practices. Foster teamwork, effective communication, and a positive environment, while adhering to infection prevention protocols.

Customer Service & Professional Development: Strive to deliver excellent patient care using AIDET principles, support a positive work environment, participate in ongoing education, and maintain licensure through required certifications and competencies. Contribute to process improvements and assist in training new staff.

Qualifications: Must have graduated from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree. Required licenses include Physical Therapist credential and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential.
