Role Overview
The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders
- Ensure compliance with the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and changes in health status
- Report refusals, reactions, and health updates promptly
- Support care plan updates and transcribe physician orders
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and uphold regulatory standards
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
