RN – Acute Care – Ortho Surgical – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse specializes in acute care for orthopedic surgical patients, working on a full-time night shift. They are vital members of an interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, individualized, and safe patient care in a clinical environment supported by leadership and evidence-based practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based standards.
  • Provide patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, respecting cultural differences.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring goals are prioritized.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, fostering teamwork and inclusive collaboration.
  • Participate in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
  • Support professional development by completing required training, mentoring others, and serving as a preceptor.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, legal and regulatory standards, and participate in data collection and protocol development.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Bachelors preferred.
  • Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • At least 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills; proficient in technology and clinical documentation.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond decisively to emergencies.
