Role Overview: This position involves providing safe, high-quality diagnostic imaging services through independent judgment and technical expertise. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and performs a wide range of MRI procedures, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess patient conditions prior to exams.
- Follow protocols for contrast media administration and ensure accurate patient identification.
- Review images for quality and respond to emergency situations.
- Assist with procedures, prepare trays, and operate imaging equipment effectively.
- Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and maintain excellent customer service.
- Ensure equipment functionality, maintain a clean environment, and adhere to safety standards.
- Document accurately, transmit images promptly, and support department operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion.
- ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification and BLS certification required.
- Minimum one year of clinical experience, preferably in MRI settings.
- Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail and professionalism.
- Knowledge of MRI procedures, anatomy, and safety protocols.
