Role Overview:
This position is for an Assistant Nurse Manager in a high-volume, Level One Trauma Center with expertise in perioperative services. The role involves overseeing patient care, staff management, equipment maintenance, and operational efficiency within the surgical department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing staff scheduling, interviewing, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations for 30-35 direct reports.
- Leading staffing development, budget adherence, and responding to operational changes.
- Ensuring quality patient care through collaborative care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Overseeing staff productivity, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating professional development.
- Handling staff communication, payroll reconciliation, and disciplinary processes.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, and 2-5 years of experience, with preferred experience in supervision and 5-10 years in healthcare. Strong leadership, communication skills, and knowledge of perioperative services are essential.
