Role Overview:
Seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide patient-centered, clinically oriented pharmacy services in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves assessing, monitoring, initiating, and modifying medication therapies, ensuring accurate dispensing, and resolving medication-related issues. Supervising support staff and counseling patients to promote optimal drug therapy are key responsibilities.
The pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals, evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, and participate in departmental meetings and committees. They will also serve as a drug information resource, assist in medication procurement and management, and identify opportunities to improve safety and efficiency in medication use.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (Doctorate preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience; 2-5 years preferred
- Licensed Pharmacist with MO Medication Therapy Services certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and supervisory skills
