Role Overview:
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within established standards. This role involves promoting patient-centered care, educating patients and families, and developing individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. The nurse evaluates patient responses and adjusts care accordingly, participates in safety and quality activities, and engages in professional development. Licensure must be obtained within 90 days of graduation.
Responsibilities:
- Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and medication administration.
- Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs using critical nursing skills.
- Develop and implement care plans collaboratively, modifying them based on patient responses.
- Participate in activities supporting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary.
- Licensure: Must obtain nursing licensure within 90 days of graduation.
