MRI Technologist

Role Overview

Seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using MRI technology. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, independently conducting studies, and ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

  • Operate MRI equipment and perform imaging on adult and pediatric patients.
  • Cross-train in MRI if registered (R.T.(R)).
  • Participate in call rotation, holiday shifts, and weekend coverage as required.
  • Maintain safety, quality control, and patient care standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
  • Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (Illinois only, excluding MRI), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience, CPR, Intravenous Therapy certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI procedures and safety protocols.

  • Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures.
  • Perform MRI scans accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Assist with quality control and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to meet diagnostic needs.
