Clinical Pharmacist

Role Overview

Join a collaborative pharmacy team as a full-time Unit-Based Clinical Pharmacist in a behavioral health setting, working closely with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and improve patient care.


  • Assess, monitor, initiate, and modify medication use based on patient condition and age-specific criteria.
  • Ensure accurate medication preparation and dispensing, and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Supervise supportive personnel, including technicians, interns, and volunteers, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Provide medication counseling and education to promote optimal drug therapy outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees, serving as a medication therapy resource.
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, documenting activities and communications.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and safety in medication use processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, with at least 2 years of experience, and licensure as a Pharmacist (RPh) with Medication Therapy Services certification in MO. Preferred qualifications include a Doctorate in Pharmacy and 2-5 years of experience.
