Role Overview:
The Radiology Technologist performs general diagnostic imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients to aid in diagnosis and treatment. This PRN position involves working independently in various settings, including emergency rooms, operating rooms, and portable exams, utilizing Siemens, Samsung, and Carestream equipment. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, conducting radiographic examinations, and providing high-quality customer service. The role may require occasional work in the OR and emergency room, with tasks assigned by the department.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or higher in a related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and ARRT registration
- Licenses, such as IEMA (excluding MRI) for Illinois
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience and CPR certification
Key Duties:
- Preparing patients and equipment for procedures with professionalism
- Performing radiographic exams independently, including portable and emergency room procedures
- Occasional involvement in surgical or operating room imaging tasks
