Clinical Nurse – Float Pool

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in specialized units, including ICUs and ER, with a focus on pediatric patients. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates families on managing illnesses, and participates in safety, quality, and compliance activities. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized care plans, assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, and ensuring effective communication across care teams. Qualifications & Skills

  • RN license required; nursing diploma or associate’s degree, with a preference for bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Key Duties

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and communicate care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
