Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in specialized units such as ICUs and ER, promoting patient and family-centered care. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients’ families. Educates patients on managing their illness, medication administration, and post-treatment needs. Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
The role requires critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers. Maintains safety-sensitive standards, working in a constant state of alertness. The position involves developing and documenting individualized care plans aligned with established standards and standards of nursing care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- RN license and Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Ability to promote teamwork, communicate effectively, and prioritize patient safety.
