Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a Med Surg Cardiac unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and promoting safety and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific considerations.
- Participate in professional development and activities that enhance patient safety and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care, medication administration, and self-management.
- Maintain a safe environment, working alertly and responsibly as a safety-sensitive role.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing, RN licensure, no prior experience required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, telemetry experience, and two years of relevant experience.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
