Role Overview:
The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing standards after completing a nursing program and before licensure. The position requires obtaining licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment in Missouri.
Responsibilities:
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use.
- Utilize critical thinking to assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team, promoting patient and family-centered care.
- Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Participate in professional development and ensure safety-sensitive duties are performed safely.
Qualifications:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation.
