LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – Pediatrics

Role Overview: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides primary clinical support in outpatient settings, assisting providers with patient care, diagnostic testing, and documentation. They prepare patients for examinations, collect specimens, administer medications and vaccines, and ensure a clean, organized environment. The role involves direct patient interactions, promoting continuity and quality of care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document patient medical history, vital signs, and assist in examinations.
  • Support providers during minor procedures and diagnostic tests.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and complete related paperwork accurately.
  • Manage patient communication, respond to questions, and prioritize provider needs.
  • Administer medications and vaccines under provider supervision.
  • Maintain sterile environments and prepare examination rooms.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, ambulatory care environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.
  • Experience or willingness to perform clinical procedures and patient care.
