Role Overview: This position is for a full-time Inpatient RN on an advanced acute care unit, focused on caring for medical and surgical patients with diverse diagnoses. The role involves assessing patient needs, planning and providing comprehensive care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostics, while promoting safety and patient satisfaction. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, evaluates intervention effectiveness, and participates in quality and safety initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Completing assessments and addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Developing and coordinating individualized care plans, including patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Providing direct patient care, troubleshooting equipment, and participating in evidence-based practice decisions.
- Collaborating proactively with physicians and team members to meet patient needs.
- Engaging in quality improvement, safety programs, and unit-based decision-making.
