Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Regional Float (Evenings)

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, performing a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. They independently execute or assist licensed practitioners in imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure safety.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for proper positioning, quality, and ensure proper data storage or transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures outside the Radiology Department, such as in the operating room or ICU.

Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registration within 6 months. Applicants hired after a specified date must progress to level 2 within 24 months. Strong knowledge of imaging protocols, patient care, radiation safety, and ability to work in clinical environments is essential.
