Role Overview: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Clinic RN, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic support as part of a care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs clinic duties as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and models quality care.
- Obtains and documents patient information such as chief complaint and vital signs, preparing patients for examinations.
- Addresses physical, social, and psychological needs of patients and families, reporting observations to the RN.
- Reinforces health education, collects lab specimens, and prepares patients for procedures.
- Maintains cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms, and manages equipment and supply inventory.
- Administers medications and treatments per procedures, documents accurately, and assists with diagnostic and surgical procedures.
- Monitors and manages IVs as directed by providers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Supports operational functions, including problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting.
- Participates in staffing coordination and manages purchasing activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).
- Demonstrates accountability, strong organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment.
