Role Overview: Assists Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans for patients across all ages, from neonatal to geriatric, ensuring adherence to professional practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Self-assesses and seeks ongoing professional development, sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Utilizes logical reasoning to identify problems, analyze data, and develop solutions.
- Supports student training, completes assessments, and fosters team relationships.
- Collects data, assists in patient evaluations, and monitors progress during therapy sessions.
- Prepares documentation, aids in discharge planning, and promotes evidence-based practices.
- Performs assigned duties as needed, contributing to patient care and departmental activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
- Experience: Preferred one year as a Physical Therapy Aide or Assistant.
- Licensure: Current PTA license with active, good standing status in the relevant licensing body.
- Certifications: BLS certification (must obtain within 90 days of start).
