Role Overview
The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, ensuring resident safety through accurate medication administration, health monitoring, and thorough clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and health changes
- Report any refusals or adverse reactions promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs) and transcribe physician orders
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
- Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Preferred experience in senior care or medication administration
