Role Overview
The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior living environment, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
- Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADL)
- Coach team members on quality standards, hospitality, and documentation
- Review charting to ensure compliance with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor resident health, communicate concerns promptly
- Support onboarding and mentor new staff
- Promote safety, regulatory compliance, and effective shift transitions
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred
