Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity. Key responsibilities include administering medications per physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and documenting accurately in MAR/TAR in real time. The role involves observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, reporting refusals or concerns promptly, completing narcotic counts, and maintaining clean, organized medication carts and rooms. Adherence to infection control and safety standards is essential to prevent medication errors, identify health changes early, and safeguard resident safety.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred: Senior care experience
