Role Overview: This position involves managing a diverse client portfolio, leading tax teams, and providing expert guidance on U.S. GAAP and tax regulations. You will oversee engagement risk, financial performance, and client deliverables, ensuring high-quality tax advice and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external clients, managing relationships and expectations.
- Lead and direct teams of tax professionals on various client projects.
- Analyze and interpret tax laws affecting clients, developing strategies and supporting arguments.
- Manage engagement risks, billing, collections, and project budgets.
- Contribute to market activities, mentor team members, and provide leadership in client service delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience supporting investment entities, with prior managerial experience in a public accounting firm.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; CPA, JD/LLM, or EA credential required or to be obtained within one year.
- Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex financial information clearly.
Additional for Senior Manager: At least eight years of relevant experience, with expertise in reviewing tax returns (1120 RIC, 1065), managing multiple client engagements, and mentoring teams.
