PRN Sonographer

Role Overview:

Seeking a Registered Sonographer for a PRN position that involves performing ultrasound imaging to diagnose and assist with treatments for adult and pediatric patients. The role includes conducting abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular studies, ensuring equipment readiness, and documenting procedures accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations independently, including portable and off-site studies as needed.
  • Ensure proper functioning and readiness of ultrasound equipment.
  • Assist with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from trade school.
  • RDMS certification required; additional certifications like RDCS and CPR preferred.
  • No prior experience necessary, but 2+ years of experience and vascular imaging skills are advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to perform ultrasound studies in various locations, including on-call and portable exams.
  • Licenses and certifications such as RDMS and RDCS are essential.
