Role Overview:
This position is for a Mammography Technologist (PRN) in the Breast Center Department, responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures including digital mammography, ultrasound, MRI, stereotactic biopsy, and bone density scans. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, conducting studies independently, and ensuring quality control. It offers a flexible schedule with no weekends, holidays, or call requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or trade school education
- No prior experience required, but 2+ years preferred
- Certifications such as RTR, CT, MR, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES, and IEMA (Illinois only)
- Additional preferred: CPR and IV therapy certifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
- Perform diagnostic studies independently and in on-call situations
- Maintain quality control standards
