Clinical Nurse – Float Pool

Role Overview

This position involves providing direct patient care in a pediatric hospital setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

The nurse will promote patient and family-centered care, educate families on managing illnesses, and participate in activities that ensure safety, quality, and compliance. Developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and families is essential.

Key responsibilities include assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, and communicating care plans effectively across teams. The role emphasizes professional development and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing
  • Licensure: RN license
  • Preferred experience: 2+ years in an acute care setting (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
