Role Overview
The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in senior care settings, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and precise clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor resident symptoms, administer medications for relief, and report any refusals or adverse reactions promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), transcribe physician orders, and support care plan updates
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong assessment and documentation abilities
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
