Role Overview:
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all store operations, including staff management, inventory control, merchandising, customer service, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and adherence to labor laws.
- Lead performance management, conduct evaluations, and address employee development or disciplinary actions.
- Manage store opening and closing, monitor sales and expenses, analyze operating statements, and identify business trends.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and inventory management practices.
- Oversee merchandise presentation, signage, and cleanliness to enhance shopping experience.
- Maintain security, cash handling integrity, and safety protocols, including cashier accountability and facility controls.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive store environment.
- Complete required documentation, follow operational procedures, and ensure team compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and operational instructions.
- Strong mathematical, cash handling, and inventory management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of recruiting, training, and employment law compliance.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred.
Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Management experience in retail desirable.
Physical & Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
- Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Occasional climbing and driving required.
- Fast-paced environment with moderate noise; exposure to outside weather.
