Role Overview:
Responsible for managing store operations, including employee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and staffing to ensure efficient daily functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, select, and retain qualified staff while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Provide training, conduct performance reviews, and address employee development needs.
- Oversee store opening and closing, manage inventory levels, and monitor sales and profitability trends.
- Order merchandise to meet stock targets, ensure proper presentation, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and security, including cash handling and key control procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a positive shopping environment.
- Follow company policies, complete documentation accurately and timely, and ensure staff compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to interpret documents and perform mathematical calculations.
- Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and managing staff in retail.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.
Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Management experience in retail is advantageous.
Physical & Working Conditions:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
- Use of equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
- Fast-paced environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions at times.
