Inpatient Palliative Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Role Overview: An Advanced Practitioner is sought to join a Palliative Medicine team, providing comprehensive inpatient care at a medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Accurately document medical information, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate therapies.
  • Adjust or discontinue medications as needed and communicate with the healthcare team regarding patient management.
  • Perform procedures within the scope of nurse practitioner practice.
  • Act as a patient advocate by providing safe, ethical care, health education, and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Follow organizational policies, guidelines, and meet departmental goals.

This role primarily supports inpatient Palliative Medicine needs in a clinical environment.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification is required.
