Role Overview: Provides patient care in collaboration with physicians, demonstrating autonomy in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and performs procedures within the scope of practice. Communicates effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and physicians to ensure comprehensive care and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and establish diagnoses, developing treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
- Accurately document clinical information, order and interpret tests, and prescribe evidence-based therapies.
- Adjust or discontinue medications as needed, and report significant findings or risks to collaborating physicians.
- Perform procedures within scope, and communicate with team members and patients via various channels.
- Provide ethical, safe, and understandable health education to patients and families, acting as their advocate.
- Follow policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet clinical goals and deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills: A Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant is preferred. The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a clinical environment.
