Role: MRI Technologist I responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic purposes, assisting licensed practitioners, and ensuring patient safety.
Key Duties:
- Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and manage data transfer and storage.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and apply safety principles to minimize risks.
- Assist with MRI interventional procedures and select appropriate pulse sequences.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties.
Qualifications:
- Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with ARRT-MR specialization.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of MRI protocols, patient preparation, safety practices, and data management. Ability to educate others and work collaboratively in a clinical environment.
