Role Overview: This position involves acting as the designated Person In Charge (PIC) to oversee foodservice operations, ensuring efficient daily tasks, compliance with food safety regulations, and maintaining professional service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform PIC duties, including opening and closing the department and managing shift coverage.
- Coordinate staff activities, promote teamwork, and encourage process improvements.
- Monitor food safety by recording temperatures, ensuring recipe compliance, and addressing alerts or alarms.
- Handle cash, monitor sanitation, portion control, and customer service quality.
- Update communication boards and supervise cleaning tasks to ensure proper sanitation.
- Mentor and potentially train staff, manage maintenance requests, and interpret patient meal tickets.
- Perform daily operational tasks within their focus area, ensuring workflow efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to interpret food tickets, read labels, and maintain safety standards. Leadership skills, self-direction, and excellent communication are essential. Flexibility to work rotating weekends/holidays and participate in an inclusive, safety-conscious environment are required.
