We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to support the Production Engineering Group in manufacturing, design, development, and testing activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning production process definition and implementation within assigned areas
- Performing time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, and work sampling
- Developing and maintaining engineered time standards using statistical and mathematical methods
- Scheduling job plans to optimize workflow and support manufacturing operations of aerospace hardware
- Prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and improving manufacturing methods
Qualifications and skills required:
- B.S. in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience, with understanding of aircraft manufacturing and industrial engineering
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management
- Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, TeamCenter a plus)
- Experience with MOST and proven success in process improvement
Work environment: Exposure to noise, heat, cold, and aircraft-related odors. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance and perform various physical activities. Adherence to safety and regulatory standards is essential.
