Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical setting. They operate under the guidance of Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, emphasizing evidence-based practice, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure individualized patient care.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations, incorporating cultural competence.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication methods, facilitating education and goal setting.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care, promoting teamwork, inclusivity, and respectful clinical environments.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to enhance care outcomes.
- Maintain professional development by completing required training, serving as a preceptor, and modeling best practices.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and contribute to protocol development.
- Optimize resource utilization and support system policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the appropriate state (multi-state license preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of RN experience, with direct patient care experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification; additional certifications as required.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and respond decisively to emergencies using respectful, professional conduct.
