Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care – Perioperative

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in a perioperative setting. They practice in accordance with professional standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication, patient education, and goal-focused care planning.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, promoting teamwork and respectful, inclusive clinical environments.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research, and uphold safety standards.
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to develop a competent workforce and foster a healthy work environment.
  • Engage in professional development, complete required competencies, and contribute to protocol development.
  • Promote evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and support resource optimization.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associates or diploma in nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse, with required certifications including BLS and ACLS.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent, relevant acute care nursing experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills; proficiency with technology.
