Registered Nurse – Acute Care Ortho Surgical – Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) in acute care ortho surgical provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care within a multidisciplinary team. They practice in a clinical environment guided by evidence-based standards, professional models, and organizational policies, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity and patient preferences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and the nursing process.
  • Deliver relationship-based, culturally sensitive care, engaging patients and families through effective communication and education.
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality care, promoting teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support professional development by completing competency assessments and mentoring peers, fostering a healthy work environment.
  • Advance evidence-based practice, participate in research, and ensure compliance with accreditation and safety standards.
  • Plan resource utilization and contribute to protocol development to optimize patient outcomes and reduce readmissions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum two years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
  • Associate or diploma nursing degree; bachelor’s preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in clinical technology and basic computer skills; ability to respond effectively in fast-paced environments.
