Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Assistant collaborates with physical therapists to develop and implement programs aimed at restoring or improving patients’ mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement treatment plans under the physical therapist’s guidance and select appropriate activities to meet patient goals.
  • Revise care plans collaboratively and provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
  • Document treatment sessions per departmental protocols and complete necessary documentation promptly.
  • Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and proper professional attire.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and participate in meetings and training.
  • Promote a positive environment, apply customer service principles, and foster teamwork.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, complete required competencies, and participate in orientation and training.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and codes of conduct.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Associates degree in Physical Therapy or related field and valid PTA license.
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
