Physical Therapy Resident – Orthopedics

Role: A Physical Therapy Resident (PTR) is a postgraduate trainee expected to complete a comprehensive program within twelve months.

Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care across diverse diagnoses and age groups, implement and modify treatment plans based on current best practices, and document all clinical activities. Conduct patient assessments, set goals, and plan discharges according to departmental policies. Supervise rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students, fostering a positive learning environment. Ensure timely documentation and billing, meet productivity standards, and coordinate follow-up care post-discharge.

Qualifications & Skills: Must hold a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and be enrolled in an accredited PT doctoral program. Certifications such as BLS or ARC-BLS are required at hire. Demonstrates strong clinical, educational, and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt treatment plans and effectively communicate findings.

Key Duties: Deliver patient-centered care, evaluate and re-evaluate patients, contribute to educational activities, ensure compliance with policies, and support departmental productivity. The role emphasizes compassion, excellence, and collaborative learning in a healthcare setting.
