Role Overview
The Lead Caregiver is a frontline leader responsible for ensuring exceptional resident care while supporting and coaching the caregiving team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading shift assignments, managing attendance, and coordinating coverage
- Providing hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Mentoring and onboarding new team members
- Reviewing charting to ensure compliance with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitoring resident health changes and communicating concerns promptly
- Promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
- Modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED, age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care settings
