Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in senior living settings, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration to ensure safety
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor symptoms, administer medications for relief, and report adverse reactions
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), transcribe physician orders, and support care plan updates
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
- Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
