Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in senior living settings, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration to ensure safety
• Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
• Monitor symptoms, administer medications for relief, and report adverse reactions
• Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs), transcribe physician orders, and support care plan updates
• Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
• Maintain medication carts, complete narcotic counts, and ensure compliance with regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred

This role is vital in preventing medication errors, early health issue detection, and safeguarding resident safety through clinical precision and regulatory adherence.
