Lead Caregiver

Role Overview: The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader, providing hands-on support with activities of daily living (ADL), coaching and mentoring caregiving staff, and ensuring high-quality resident care aligned with individualized service plans. They monitor resident health, communicate concerns promptly, and promote safety and compliance during shift transitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead shift assignments, attendance, and coverage coordination
  • Support residents with ADL needs
  • Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
  • Review charting and ensure alignment with care plans
  • Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns
  • Support onboarding and mentor new team members
  • Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
  • CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
  • Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
