Position Overview
The role involves providing hands-on personal care and support to residents, fostering meaningful relationships, and promoting safety, dignity, and independence. Key responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care, while following individualized service plans and documenting any changes. The caregiver engages residents through conversation and activities, supports dining services, and maintains a clean, welcoming environment. In Memory Care settings, creating enriching experiences for residents with memory loss is essential.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain
- Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills
Key Duties:
- Assist with ADLs and support residents’ independence
- Document changes per individual care plans
- Engage residents in conversations and activities
- Support dining services and ensure a safe environment
- Communicate effectively with families and care team members
