MRI Technologist

Role Overview:

This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, on adult and pediatric patients to support diagnosis and treatment. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies independently, and may handle on-call or portable exams. Cross-training in MRI is encouraged, with registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T. (R)) or MRI-registered required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and imaging equipment for procedures
  • Perform imaging studies independently and in various settings

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent trade school
  • Licenses & Certifications: IEMA (Illinois), RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES; CPR and IV Therapy preferred
  • No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong technical skills in diagnostic imaging
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to handle call rotations and weekend shifts
