Role: Provides direct patient care in an ICU setting, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care according to established standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with collaborative input, ensuring effective communication across care teams.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Performs advanced procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, intraaortic balloon pumps, and monitors using bispectral analysis.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RN license required.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years ICU experience preferred; experience with critical care procedures is advantageous.
- Trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); capable of responding to emergency codes.
