Acute Care Nurse – FT Days

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed acute care unit, managing patients with complex medical conditions such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, social workers, and therapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Promotes healing by educating patients and families on illness management, medication, and post-discharge care.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance through active participation and professional development.
  • Develops and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, communicating effectively across care teams.
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural differences.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Valid RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; two years preferred.
  • Supervision: No supervisory experience necessary.
